Hi all, esp Mike T.

I was unexpectedly in NW Tasmania at the end of March and while there I
happened to see a flock of about 40-50 White-throated Needletails about 5km
SE of Stanley at about 15:30h on 27 Mar 2000. They were swirling about as
they are wont to do, mainly at altitudes of about 10-50m above ground
level. This was over and around the road which was flanked by a small
amount of open pasture land before becoming forested. Conditions were
fairly overcast and about an hour later there was fairly heavy rainfall.

Harvey
