An excellent reference for place names is found on the AUSLIG website
www.auslig.gov.au/mapping/names/names.htm
There are about 210,000 place names based on the 1:250,000 map series.
To search it is best to type in the first four or five letters of the
keyword which will bring up a list of likely possibilities.
Using the AUSLIG website and the Atlas database I have come up with the
