Walked Deep Ck, Garigal NP in the n. suburbs of Sydney on
Saturday and found a single Rufous Fantail. A migrating bird quite
late at this latitude 33° 42.475´ 151°
15.840´. Occasionally stragglers pass through Sydney as late
as the end of April but this is unusual and very few are seen after
about the 8th April when this one was seen.
Other birds of interest but not unexpected in this area
were:
Brown Quail (2)
Peregrine Falcon (1)
Brush Bronzewing (1)
Rockwarbler (4)
Regards, Andy
