Anne: They are primarily fruit eaters although they do take insects. Problem is solved as I released the Koel this afternoon and watched her fly away over the backyard trees........ only to return to the trees at the front a little while later! She is out there somewhere doing whatever it is female Koels are wont to do when they have overstayed their normal season.
