Last Monday night I noticed a single cattle
Egret roosting in a tree quite close to our house. I thought I might be sick or
weak, but it had gone by morning. Perhaps there were others also roosting nearby
in the dark.
Last night I saw a flock of 20-40 cattle Egrets
cruising about in circles above our block. (It was great to watch them wheeling
around so low.) They finally settled in a tree on our block down by the
dam.
Is it likely they will regularly roost there? Will they nest
there?
