Hi there birders,

Last Sunday I was birding along Settlers Road about 20km east of Meningie in South Australia. Meningie is near the Coorong.

This road is bounded on one side by open farmland and mallee scrub on the other side.

I observed a male a female Hooded Robin. From my observations this species seems widespread in South Aust but is nowhere very common.

Is this species common anywhere?

Happy birding
