We still have White-throated Nightjars hawking over the creek at dusk - three put on quite a show for us last night, coming very low directly overhead just on dusk. Maureen Mott commented to me recently that being summer visitors they will be gone soon, but I can't say I know just when they do leave this area. Most of our visiting summer birds are gone now, but the nightjars are still here. I'd value comments and observations from anyone who has got a feeling for the timing of movement of White-throated Nightjars in Southern Queensland. Bill Jolly "Abberton", Lockyer Valley, Queensland.
