Hi all I saw a very resourceful and patient Grey Butcherbird yesterday as I was walking along a path. The bird was standing on the ground beneath a tap, staring intently up at it. I was quite close but the bird took no notice of me. I stopped to watch, wondering what it was doing when suddenly a drop of water fell from the tap and the Butcherbird caught it in its bill and flew off. It would certainly take a long time to get a decent drink that way, but I guess a little is better than nothing! Happy birding, Merrilyn To unsubscribe from this list, please send a message to Include ONLY "unsubscribe birding-aus" in the message body (without the quotes) |
