I am hoping to go to Broome in September to escape Sydney's Olympic hysteria/pain... can people please give me a feel for/info on the place????? Bird sites, mammals to look out for, people, climate, general vibe, shops, bars/clubs, social dynamics, worth while tours... distance to the Bungle Bungles, closest spot for a Black Grasswren (my dream bird at the moment!!!)... is the observatory worth staying at... are 4WDs expensive to hire... ??? Thanks a lot. Peace and rarities at your back doorstep, Lorne.
