I agree entirely.  The BA approach, if that is what it is, is stark staring
irrationality.  It appears to rule out as significant any actual 'Bird
Report Areas' unless they are both (a) politically autonomous  jurisdictions
(whatever relevance that might have) and (b) of a certain minimum area, it
being faintly suggested that Tasmania (68,330 sq kms) is the minimum
acceptable size.  Rigorous scientific method at its best.  As for the COG
area being part of NSW, one could just as easily say that 'birdwise'
(whatever that means), so is Victoria.  That would enable some slight
comparison, area-wise, with WA or Qld.  Where does this end, and why kick
against the pricks?
