I added another local location for this bird yesterday.
It was at Gunpowder Creek crossing, on the road (currently washed out) to Mount Oxide just north of Gunpowder township (115km NW of the Isa)

I have also sighted it
- 65km   E of Isa (Clem Walton Park - near Mary Kathleen)
- 60km NE of Isa (private property on a Station Dam)
- 30km  E of Isa  (1 km sth of Barkly Hwy on track to East Leichhardt River dam)

Other items of interest:-
1 The Pheasant Coucal  and House Sparrow have extended their territory to include Gunpowder.
2 Channel-billed Cuckoo last heard 3 to 4 weeks ago.
3 Only saw one of each Dollarbird and Common Koel this last week.

Regards...Bob Forsyth

Evolution......is a theory that lumps and bumps on the ends
of tree branches are looking more & more like
                   birds!
