Hello BirdingAusers,
I have recently published my own web-site.
As a feature of that site I have included details of a sighting I made of
the Regent Honeyeater last year (1999) near Warwick, SEQ.
I have included a mud-map of this location and some photos of Regent
Honeyeater taken by Brian O'Leary (at another location).
Please pass on any details of Regent Honeyeater sightings to the contacts
on the page.
Incidentally, I am making this information public this way because I
believe that by encouraging more genuine bird-lovers to frequent the sites of
rare and endangered species it may make it harder for those 'other people' to
indulge in their anti-social activities. Also, more real value may be placed on
these areas as natural refuges for our valuable wildlife.
As this is a new site I would be grateful for any comments if people are
having trouble using the site.
