I'm not a "birder" but an astronomer, and a birder friend in Oz forwarded the following message to me. I think it's pretty reeeeee-diculous! I hope people don't get the impression that all Americans are this shallow. I think the US Web Directory needs to "get a grip" here ... In my opinion, this "Bonehead Award" is well-deserved, as Richard and Barbara Bell have so correctly pointed out.
