I have just been given an impressive publication entitled 'Best Bush' (subtitled 'recreation opportunities in NSW's public bushland areas'). This is a fold out map of NSW with an incredible 1180 public bushland areas listed and mapped. On the reverse, about 350 parks and reserves are listed with their individual facitities. It is published jointly by 4 state governement departments - State Forests of NSW, NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, Tourism NSW and NSW Department of Land and Water Conservation. Congratulations to the people responsible for producing such a good publication. Anyone birding or visiting NSW should have a copy! My copy apparently came from NSW National Parks - cost $5.
