No Black Bittern at Chittaway Point

I went to the reserve at Sunset Avenue, off Geoffrey Road, Chittaway Point (Central Coast 1.25 hours drive north of Sydney) to try and find the Black Bittern.

Couldn’t find it – it was a very hot day and many people were swimming and boating in Ourimbah Creek and presumably all this activity was keeping the bittern away.
