Phil also mentioned that there are Little Bitterns showing themselves (easily?) at L. Wendouree in Ballarat at the moment. Any comments on that one? >From all accounts from my friends in Ballarat, the bitterns are at time quite easy to see as the water level is low and in places, the reeds are almost lying down. I saw them a couple of times when I lived in Ballarat, but not as good as the views the local birdo's, and others, are getting at the moment. A contact would be Helen O'Donnell ( local BOCA Sec.) 53 321162 as I was speaking to her about them last week.
