Hello All , Regarding Edwin Vella's thoughts on the occurrence of this bird I would add that I have seen it on three occasions in the Sydney suburb of St. Ives or nearby . The first time beside the busy Arterial Rd.about twenty years ago , the second in my front garden in 1994 , the last time in St.Ives Wildflower Garden last year. Whilst it is not exactly a common bird here , it is probably a reasonably consistent visitor . I have also seen it at Terrey Hills a few K's north of here.
