Hi all, Not a lot to report on the Franklins Gull. As far as I'm aware nobody has seen the bird since Ian Ashton located it c. 1600 h, on Sunday 23/1/00 at Sorrento (Port Phillip Bay Vic). Yesterday (Wed 26/1) the beaches were thoroughly searched between Portsea and Mt Martha (about 30km) without success. It would certainly still be worth keeping an eye open around Sorrento but gulls anywhere in the bay (or western port) would be worth a quick scan. Best of Luck Rohan To unsubscribe from this list, please send a message to Include ONLY "unsubscribe birding-aus" in the message body (without the quotes) |
