Apart from the excitement of seeing the Fiordland Penguin which was a "newy" for me, I found the Elephant Seal equally exciting, especially when it bellowed at us! What an impressive animal. Returned home yesterday 5pm via the Queenscliffe ferry and despite careful examination of every gull failed to turn up the Franklins. Miike Carter is down there today having a look.
