Can anyone suggest a good native substitute for lawn? I would prefer something that is indigenous to Melbourne, as an example Kidney Weed (Dichondra Repens). 'Tussock' type grass would be acceptable as one of the last resorts. I would also appreciate the recommended soil type and moisture/shade requirements.
