Good rain around Lake Cargelligo NSW and Condobolin means swamps are full of water and of cause birds, interesting observations, thousands of Straw-necked Ibis, White Ibis, White-necked Herons, Large and Plumed Egrets . No shortage of Grey Teal and Black Ducks, shovelers or Zebra (wops Pink -eared ) Ducks or Hardheads and Woodducks. The Brolgas previously reported are still present but don't appear to have breed successfully. Raptures present include Black Falcons, Swamp Harriers, Black-shouldered, Whistling and Black Kites. Budgerigars are also starting to turn up in numbers.

At Euabalong West (7/1/200) still present are the Painted Honeyeaters who appear to have breed.

All around it looks like being a good summer for birding.

Regards
