Folks:

Assuming we all survived the Y2K gremlins, I've received the first request
from overseas birders planning to return to Oz for more of our birds. Colin
& Denise were out here the year before and stayed with Fay and I over a few
days. Extremely nice pair. Good birders, great company. WE stayed with
them earlier late last year during our brief stopover in the UK. They plan to:

arrive Oz 2Aug (SYDNEY),
go on to CAIRNS 6Aug,
go on to BROOME 16Aug,
go on to PERTH 20Aug
and finally leave for Singapore 25Aug.

The bit I really need help with is their plan to

<go up to Iron Range area sometime between 6 Aug and 16 Aug-
4/5 days away is all we would need?

Is anyone aware of any guided tours to that neck of the woods at that time
of the year. Can they do it it so few days? Would it be posible for them
to tag along?

Klaus? Others?

Thanks in advance

Julian

PS I trust your God and Santa were good to you. May 2000 bring you all you
would wish of it.
