G'day All,
I've been doing some driving around Victoria with an
overseas houseguest of mine, whilst we were touring
the Mornington Penninsula I found a NEW Wetlands Area,
and some new out of the way places in Frankston good
for parrots.
The first site has been created by the students and
Staff of the Balnarring Primary School and many
helpers. I think it deserves that we all stand up and
applaud this fine bunch of young people for the great
work they have done. Already the moderate sized lake
that has been created is being well used by many
wetlands birds.
I give it a 9 out of ten for the planning and
construction of the area and I sincerely stand to
applaud all who took part in the work.
I "doffs me cap to you all"
Behind the Frankston Community Hospital is the George
Copeland Reserve this to me is the best place in
Farnkston, counted 38 Rainbow Lorikeet feeding merrily
away in one tree yesterday, 9 Eastern Rosella, many
Galah's with a good mix wattlebird.
Yep including as Tony would say those with the nice
new earrings .... honeyeaters a many.
I'll post all the parrot "Hot Spots" of Victoria this
Saturday after my visitor flies out.
Glad many of you have got your Prizes sad Tony in
Adelaide is the only one missing out, but then he did
take the mickey out of our Merrilyn? giggle giggle
