A Canberra birder has a friend visiting Melbourne from the UK over the Christmas period. He wants to see Banded Stilt and Red-necked Avocet and wonders whether Werribee would be a likely spot and, if so, whether it would be open and if so, how to gain access. Grateful for advice that we can pass on to him regarding seeing these species.
