Dear Birding-ausers, Thanks to those who replied to my request for an identification from an American Birding Association magazine. The bird I was enquiring about was a Gray Silky-Flycatcher, a vagrant to the USA from Mexico. A couple of people referred me to the ABA web-site, which has information on its publications (including the info I was after) and much more. I should have thought of that myself.
