 Hi Netters,
            Following on the extra SIPO in Ballina. When I was in the south
island of New Zealand in September there were SIPO everywhere, in the
caravan parks and being run over on the roads. Could a bigger population be
pushing them to migrate to Ballina?
            In my garden 11km west of Sydney, I now have four Grey-backed
Butcherbirds. They happily remove the nestlings of the one pair of Spotted
Dove in the garden when they nest. Yesterday while the Dove was sitting on
the garden shed a GBBB landed alongside. The Dove raised it's wing a belted
the GBBB hard over the head twice. The GBBB didn't take any offence and flew
into a tree.
            A friend reported a White Ibis in a Sydney carpark looking for
food. Not unusual except the carpark was five floors below ground level.
