Andrew Having worked on Cattle Egrets for quite a few years in a past life, I can assure you that White-faced Herons feeding on insects in pasture is a common occurrence and they will, occasionally, be seen with Cattle Egrets. Intermediate Egrets will also do likewise if the pasture is reasonably close to water.
