Hi All

Just a few thoughts on how we can come up with a formula to pick a National winner in future twitchathons.

If a team has a possible list of 300 from its chosen area (this does not have to be a complete State list) and gets a score of 270 they would have got 90% giving them a score of 90.  If this formula is used and all teams nominate an area and have a  list of possibles then a national winner can be selected on a percentage of birds twitched.

To a man ornithologists are tall, slender, and bearded, so
that they can stand motionless for hours, imitating kindly
trees, as they watch for birds.
