Hi Twitchathon leaders. This is a quick note to advise you all of the results for both the Main and the Champagne races. However first I would like to thank all of you for your support and hope you all enjoyed it, even if the weather was bad. Can you please also pass on thanks to all your team members and let them know the results. Finally can you please send in your collected sponsorship monies to me at 72C Excelsior Ave Castle Hill 2154. National Office of Birds Australia are no longer doing this. I promise to get your receipts out asap

So on to the results. the Main race was won by the Grey Toilet Thrushes, they saw 185 species in the day and inspite of all that rain. The team was Keith Brandwood, Sacha Adin and Dean Portelli and they have won the first prize which a $100 book voucher from Andrew Isles Book Shop. The Grey Toilet Thrushes are no strangers to the first place, great effort to you all and well done.

Second place went to the Central Coast Champions who saw 176 species. Not far off the pace and another creditable effort. Congratualtions to Alan Morris, Stephen Edwards and Craig Arms. They win accommodation at Barren Grounds Bird Observatory. The Champions are also used to doing well having been joint winners last year.

Thanks to our sponsors at Andrew Isles and Barren Grounds for their support. I will get those prizes out to you all next week

In the Champagne race the winners were the Wonga Wonga Wanderers who had a total of 124 species on their list. Not bad going considering the compulsory stops for lunch and tea etc. Congratulations to Jillian Albrecht, Glenn albrecht and Stuart Pearson who win of course some champagne. (some private donations supported this prize) I will have to find a way to get this to you as soon as I can, I will give you a call
