Russell Thomson asked what the complete Victorian results were (sorry - I
do not have results from anywhere except Vic and north Queensland so far).
The following comes from Khalid Al-Dabbagh, organiser of the Twitchathon in
Victoria.

BA Twitchathon 1999 - Results (Victoria)
Five Main and one Champagne teams took part in the race as scheduled. All
finished the race without problems. Weather was fair. Results as follows:
Main Race
1. Common Driving-Petrolheads: 205 birds. Team: Lawrie Conole; Grant
Baverstock, Susan Myers, Stuart Dashper, Russell Woodford. Best Bird:
Black Honeyeater.
2. Bush Turkeys: 200 birds (after deducting 3 birds for being 13 minutes
late). Team: Sean Dooley, P. Lansley, P. Peake, S. Stafford. Best Bird:
Pied Honeyeater (winner of this year's "Best Bird").
3. Black-Tailed Upstarts: 178 birds. Team: David Geering, Koren Mitchell,
Norm Cooney, Stuart Cooney. Best Bird: Striated Grasswren.
4. Very Serious Birdwatchers: 176 birds. Team: M. Cameron, M. Hewish, E.
Kerr, C. Morley, J. Bottomley. Best Bird: Sanderling.
5. Glamorous Reed Warblers: 118 birds. Team: Greg Pyers, Dianne Smith,
Brier Gough, Bob Gott. Best Bird: Buff-banded Rail.
Champagne Team:
1. Norwegian Blues: 127 birds. Team: J. Krohn , J.B. Krohn, P.M. Krohn.
Best Bird: Red-browed Treecreeper.
Prizes for this years' winners were donated by Andrew Isles (first and
second prizes for the Main Race winners) and the BA Birding Shop (other
prizes). A Leica P150 projector, donated by Leica through the Birding
Shop, will be presented to the individual (not the whole team) who raised
most funds nationally.
