To Klaus & others Several have remarked on the late and as yet low numbers of Pied Imperial Pigeons reaching parts of Queensland. Just saw 11 Pied Imperial Pigeons heading over the Papua New Guinea Savanna towards Cape York, so it they are still up here they cannot be in Queensland yet. It has been an unusual weather pattern this year. The first half of the dry was unusually wet, and so we really had a late dry, which could have delayed the birds. Hope they reach you.
