Inspired by several recent messages I managed to organise a big day out in the Kerang area today. Followed Lawrie Conole's route of Lake Tutchewop, Round Lake and Goschen Reserve. A very good day, with Orange Chats greeting us as we drove along Winlaton Road; Crimson Chats, Budgies , Rainbow Bee-eater and Blue Bonnets near the roadside just east of Lake Boga; and Cockatiels, Blue-winged Parrots, White-winged Trillers and other good things at Goschen. But no Black or Pied Honeyeaters at all, which was disappointing. They must have left during the week.
