Just a "ticking" note that some bird-aus readers might find interesting. Here in the US, in Texas, we are beginning to have questions about ticking a newly feral bird over certain parts of the state. I have seen them behaving quite "wildly" in open country, miles from the nearest residence. The Texas Birds Records Committee is apparently looking into the sightings and evaluating whether this bird really has been successfully introduced. The bird,.....the emu, of course. Thank goodness I have already have them ticked from where they belong!
