Hi Folks

Despite the fascinating and at times heated debate over WHAT is a tick,
the original sender of the message about 'can I tick this dead bird I
found'? left birding-aus fairly soon after sending it. Probably
waited around to see if we'd taken the bait, then left with a wry smile...

Anyway, it's been interesting reading for someone like me with new ticks
to gloat over - pied and black honeyeaters, orange and crimson chats...

If you get a chance to go to NW Victoria soon, don't let it slip - all
sorts of things are coming south in numbers. Red-backed Kingfisher,
Letter-winged Kite and Grey Falcon are included in these amazing reports.
Don't forget your Atlas sheets!
