Hi John, and others

This is a hoax. It is not a virus. You can read more about it at Symantec's
AntiVirus Research Center (SARC):

But the rest of this is NOT a hoax.

And while you're there, SARC has released a (real) virus warning about the
Polyglot Trojan Horse virus, first detected on 15 September 1999.
