Jill, Bill, Ian and others who've sent emails: I'm gratified that so many of you are interested, but I'm not really surprised. In the seventeen years as a guide I've discovered so many birdwatchers supportive of bush Aboriginal people, not as cultural curiosities but as fellow human beings. Presently members of my family are quite disillusioned with white society for reasons I won't elaborate on now soI have printed off your letters to show Yabok (older sister) Esther when she next comes to town that there are thoughtful balanda (white people) out there.
