Dear All:

This is an email I've been meaning to write for some time now but somehow
something else always seemed to get in the way. Besides wanting to
"officially" advise all and sundry of my new email address (although no
doubt the more astute - or those who needed to know- will already have
fathomed it out) I also wanted to take the opportunity to ponder awhile on
the subject of parrots - Australian and those from elsewhere. I am rather
hoping that some of you may be interested in chewing the fat with me over
parrot-related topics, especially anyone who has been involved in any
research no matter how small or independant of officialdom.

I might need to remind you that some time ago Stephen Garnett asked me to
take over the online parrot page for BA. Obviously I am on the scrounge for
parrot news to incorporate in my next piece. But no sick parrot jibes
please. Been there, done that and have the tee-shirt to skite about it!
