A few surprise overwintering ABSENTEES were Sharp-tailed S/piper, Wood
S/piper, Greenshank, Ruddy Turnstone, of which there are often a few at
this time, and the one Whimbrel, which is usually with the Eastern Curlews,
didn't show. Otherwise not a bad haul of 70 species. Can't wait till
October when the the waders return. Anyone for a visit Oct - March?
Happy birding. Tony (mp)
