Like Keith, I have heard many Golden Bronze-cuckoo's over winter around Sydney, the Blue Mountains and central coast over the past years. Infact, one was calling last Sunday at Mitchell Park at Cattai quite well. A few Horsfield's Bronze-cuckoos also overwinter (including one or two this year at Magic Pt, Maroubra). Other birds that are more common in summer and overwinter in small to fair numbers around Sydney include Dusky Woodswallows, Restless Flycatcher, Sacred Kingishers (in mangroves), Clamorous Reed Warblers, Olive-backed Orioles and Scarlet Honeyeaters (particularly if there is good flowering about).
