I noted about 25-30 reed-warblers singing vigorously in the town lake at
Numurkah (north-central Victoria) last weekend.  I thought this might be a
bit early too, but the Vic Atlas tells me some reed-warblers overwinter in
the Murray Valley area.  Still 25-30 singers seems like a lot, and there
must have been some incoming migrants.
