Well done to Tony Russell for having his "little rave" and for
reminding us what is actually going on. It is so easy for us to remain in
our comfort zones and hope that the problem will go away or not effect us, but
that never happens.
May I add that I think it is time that each individual
electorate should hold their elected politicians accountable for their actions
and behaviour. At the moment they do exactly as the party says or as they
please and the wishes of their electorates are of no consequence unless they can
make a bit more political mileage (or money) out of it. The myth of
democracy! For this treatment the Australian taxpayer has the priveledge
of paying up $1.5billion per year in salaries, allowances and perks - and then
they still cheat on their travel claims! I have had my say as well
