It's time yet again to get out there and hunt down those elusive Regent
Honeyeaters and Swift Parrots. The May national search weekend produced a
few Regent Honeyeaters and more Swift Parrots (these results appeared in an
earlier posting).

I would like to encourage you all to get out and help find all those birds
that appear to simply disappeared (a very big ask we know). In particular
there are a few very big gaps in the coverage that we achieved with over
130 people last May. The Canberra area was not covered although we must
acknowledge that the excellent coverage we had of the south-west slopes was
achieved by birders from Canberra. Other major gaps include northern NSW
and southern Queensland. The birds that breed in the Armidale area must be
out there somewhere!

If you are able to help please get in touch with either myself or Simon
Kennedy for survey sheets.

Good luck
