On a rare childless week-end, we visited Mitchell Park (Cumberland) on Sunday between the showers. Apart from a stunning view of an Azure Kingfisher, there was nothing special to report except that of the circa 8 Nankeen Night-Herons we found, at least two were immatures, giving firm evidence there has been successful breeding in the little colony. There might have been more, but too many of the birds only presented us with fleeting silhouettes. John Clifton-Everest P.S. I wish I knew just where it is people find the Powerful Owl there! -- Associate Professor John M.
