Plans are well under way to hold a 3 day friends of Birds Australia
event here in Hastings, on the Mornington Peninsula. Dates are the
21st., 22nd., and 23rd., of October 1999.

Day One is proposed to be for the youth, with T shirt giveaways and
sales, competitions with birding books as prizes, photographic displays
of general public photography, winners will recieve a KODAK camera,
winners of the FOBA coloring competition will be announced. Face
painting, balloon giveaways, stick on face and hand transfers and much
much more.

Day Two is planned for the grown up kids.
Kodak wish to hire a table to display inside the hall birding
photography, modern camera technology and framed sales.
If they agree I am attempting to get a large chain of Oz wide shops to
display their binoculars and other birding items.
ICE computer group wish to display their birds screen saver and a few
more computa programs and items.
Mornington Peninsula Council wish to have a table to advertize the best
birding spots on the peninsula.

Day three is the "Galah Ball"

Two local Newspapers are keen to help.
More to come later
