Hi all

Thanks to anyone who has had kind things to say recently about the
Birding-Aus pages - I wouldn't be one of them, because I think it is in a
very sorry state!!

Anyway, I'm part way through a total rebuild of the site, and I'll let you
know when it is a more welcoming place to visit. About the only thing
you'll recognise is the great logo drawn by Katie Bertsch (a visiting
American birder/researcher). I've learned a bit about HTML and web design
since I cobbled together the original site, so the new one SHOULD be a
little more useful, I hope. If you have comments on what you'd like to see
stay/go/changed/fixed/improved then please reply to me not to the list.

I know I've mentioned this sort of thing before, and I've had lots of very
helpful pieces of advice, so thank you to all those readers. The present
rehash should give us Birding-Aus 2.0, not just a revision. We will have
a new home a little further down the track as well, but more about that
when I can give you something concrete.

Meanwhile, thanks for continuing to besuch a great group!
