To all on the net ... I am heading to the
Manning/ Macleay region in July and intend to visit some of the new National
Parks established by the regional forest agreement prior to the last State
Election. After all the time negotiating and writing letters it is time to get
on the ground again. Can anyone here tell me a little about these new areas?
History, birding opportunities, eccological information? I am planning to visit
Nowendoc NP (originally gazetted as Dingo Tops) {MS: Kokomerican, Kerriki,
Bobin}, Stony Creek NP {MS: Riamukka, Nowendoc}, Kumbatine NP {MS: Sherwood,
Tinebank} and Willi Willi {MS:Tinebank, Banda Banda} along with return visits to
some regulars ... Crowdy Bay NP, Sea Acres NR, Lake Innes NR and Kattang NR. If
time and weather are kind I will also look at Big Nellie NP (I am not sure if
this name still applies... part of the old Landsdowne SF).
