At least 1 Freckled Duck was present at Jerrabomberra Sewage Works yesterday afternoon at 17:00. It was disturbed from the reed mace which borders one of the lagoons and plopped into the water. From sound I thought it might be a Hydromys........ No! a Freckled Duck. I use the phrase at least because other Freckled Ducks may be present given the skulking behaviour that I observed. Highlight: 2 Drake Bluebill, brilliantly lit in late afternoon sunshine. Lowlight: A Greenfinch singing (if you care to call it that). cheers Milburn Dr.Peter Milburn Biomolecular Resource Facility The Australian National University GPO Box 334 Canberra ACT 0200 AUSTRALIA Phone No. <61> <2> 6249 4326 Fax No. <61> <2> 6249 4326 E-mail Address To unsubscribe from this list, please send a message to Include ONLY "unsubscribe birding-aus" in the message body (without the quotes) |
