Last year at this time I drove from Maclean to Coffs and then up through Bellingen. Just north of Coffs there is a large forested area that was in full blossom - I stopped because of the noise of the lorikeets. I saw Rainbows, Scaly-breasted and Musk in large numbers and drove on. When I was in Canberra the next week, I read on the oz-line that Swift Parrots were also seen there - I was quite annoyed for not taking longer looks! It would be worth a drive there to see if the forest is again in bloom.
