How many of these 2700 odd birds would you have actually SEEN? in the sense of really getting to know them. Quite a few twitchers are inclined to tick a species off and never look at that species again. What a waste. I don't really feel I've seen a species unless I had a really good look - preferably both sexes and young as well, if relevant.
