The Abberton website is now up and ready for inspection at www.abberton.org
.
It mainly tells about bird happenings at Abberton near Helidon in
Queensland's Lockyer Valley, as well as including quite a few images and a
What's About? section that is updated every few days, or as the need arises.
(And it does encourage birders to visit and to stay here). Our "house and
garden" list stands at 180 species over about 12 years here - 176 of those
have been identified from the house verandahs!
A small party of Red-necked Avocets turned up nearby today. As a general
rule, if anything of special interest occurs, I'll continue to post details
here - the website will probably tend to include more detail at a general
level, as well as being a base from which to display some images.
Do please have a look. The Links section is almost empty at this early
stage, but connections to good bird sites here and overseas are welcome. And
constructive criticism is always welcome too!
